ANIMAL WELFARE
As suppliers of meat, fish and dairy, animal welfare is a priority to our business. We are committed to working with our suppliers to ensure the health and wellbeing of all animals reared to produce products for our business is always considered. By doing so we aim to ensure we supply the best quality products from fully traceable supply chains.

We have recently updated our animal welfare policy to include the welfare of crabs, lobsters, crayfish and nephrops. Additionally, we will work towards cage free eggs for shell and liquid egg products by the end of 2025.
Following the release of our policy, we have created an Animal Welfare questionnaire for our meat suppliers, asking deeper questions about antibiotic usage, animal feed, and our supplier’s animal welfare approach. Analysing this data will allow us to have more transparency throughout our supply chain and to set specific animal welfare targets to report on in the future.
We plan to create a similar questionnaire for our farmed fish and egg suppliers to get a full view of the farmed animal products in our range.
